What is HDHMR boards? What are its advantages and disadvantages?

  HDHMR (High Density High Moisture Resistance) It is an upgraded term of plywood. These are made by combining fiber chips, forest wood waste along with wax and resin. Advantages:  • Water resistance (used in kitchen shutters, packing industry furniture, outdoor fixtures). It can also be used as laminated flooring.  • They are termite free unlike plywood which can easily get attacked by termites.  • Comes with pre-paint/ polished surface.  • Cost effective  • Good screw holding capacity. Disadvantages :  • Low on strength  • Cannot withstand heavy loads
