Illustrator Isometric Design (YouTube Channel)

       STEPS                                                                                                                                            
  • Open Adobe Illustrator, with the help of Pen tool  draw straight line by holding Shift key.
  • With selection tool select the line, press Alt key to make a copy.
  • Ctrl + D to copy and paste the line at the same distance.
  • Select all lines, press Ctrl + C to copy lines & then press Ctrl + F to paste in place.
  • In the transform panel (might appear on the right), rotate this copy of lines by 60 degree.
  • Select all lines one more time, copy and paste in place once again, now flip these lines horizontally.
  • To apply color, make your own customized color swatch.
  • Select each swatch, go to Window > Swatches > Open swatch window > Add selected colors.
  • Select all lines, grab live paint bucket tool (K).
  • Choose your first color and start painting by click and drag method.
  • Once you are happy with your design, select all lines and make its strokes = 0 pt.
  • Now select all lines again, then go to Object > Expand > Ok.
  • Go to Pathfinder (Window > Pathfinder) > Merge.
